Dear Lila, Vanda, and all you other wonderful people at Heliotopos.

We are now at home in cold Norway, to sit and think back on our wonderful dream wedding on the beautiful Santorini which was 12/09/12.

It is already almost 6 months ago, but it feels like yesterday. We have been in Crete before, where we got engaged in 2008. And we’ve already had many years together before too. So to do it this particular way, bring all the family down to this great place to celebrate our wedding there, is something we absolute would recommend to everyone.

“Amazing Weddings!”

We were married at the Heliotopos in 2007 and were offered a free vow renewal if we returned to Santorini for our 5th anniversary.

We arrived at the hotel around 10 am after around 30 hours of travel. (We had a 15 hour layover in London and did some sightseeing) Our suite wasn’t ready so early, so they gave us a different room to take a nap and had our room ready for us when we woke up.

We rented a scooter, which I highly recommend if you want to visit the beaches, ruins and wineries the island has to offer. One of the greatest memories of my life is riding on the back of a scooter with my new husband, on a cliff overlooking the caldera. Breathtaking.

Our wedding was lovely, and Lila took care to make sure everything was perfect. It was so nice to tell her a few preferences and have her create such an amazing event. Everything was just as I’d pictured it.

Our wedding was rained out (something Lila told us had never happened before) so we postponed until the next evening and the hotel arranged for us to have dinner in a local tavern in the hills. The owners there were great and fed us a four course dinner with wine on the hotel. Before this dinner, Lila took us to a winery on her own time to show us around and help us order a case to be shipped home.

Our experience with Lila and the Heliotopos team was seamless. From the first contact with Lila, we were very pleased with the care and attention to detail she gave us throughout the entire planning process from the beginning, to the end on the day of our wedding. Lila was very accessible via e-mail and she also took the time to skype with us to make sure that the communication and planning was met with my husband and I. Lila did everything she could to make sure that we were happy with our wedding planning and gave us essential advice and tips for planning a wedding overseas. It was absolutely necessary to have her help with the language barrier, special connections, and relationships that she had with people on the island where we got married, Milos. We chose to have her present on the day of the wedding, and that was a very good decision as she was able to ease the stress of the wedding day. I would 100% recommend Lila and her team at Heliotopos for a greek destination weeding!

We have a wonderful experience with you. You were kind, helpful and supportive.You won our trust and answered all our questions for best planning of our wedding. We were very pleased by the photographer from Ventouris who made nice photos for us.The wedding dinner in the Heliotopos cave restaurant was really a good choice. The vanilla cake we found absolutely delicious.
Dear couples,
The wedding location at Heliotopos was unforgettable. We recommend a walk to the Red Beach. Also, as our May wedding was a little windy and cloudy and I wanted it outside, we recommend a good back up plan for the ceremony in mind and a warm jacket in the baggage.

When deciding to get married in Greece, it was hard to choose anywhere else
but Santorini. I had previously spent a whole summer on the island, so had
experienced its magical beauty.

I contacted Lila from Heliotopos in the hope that she would agree to help us
plan our special day, not initially realizing just how much she would proceed to
organise for us.

Coordinating a wedding from Australia in Greece in a matter of months I thought
would prove to be difficult; however Lila was always quick to respond by email,
and remained a wealth of knowledge, efficiency and expertise. From church and
reception ideas and bookings, to flowers, photographer, videographer, the cake,
hair and makeup, every last detail was booked precisely and flowed smoothly.
Almost to a point where she made it so easy for me, to just choose what I wanted
and put my trust in Lila to deliver, and this she certainly did.

I will never forget what Lila and her team did for us on our special day, opening
your hotel/home to myself and best girlfriends to prepare on the day was such
