Judy & Richard Reaney -bride’s parents- New Zealand

Dear Lila, Yiota and Romilly,

We are back home in New Zealand and finding it hard to settle down to the routine again, after such a wonderful week in Santorini.

We would like to thank you so much for making Bridget and Daniel’s wedding so very special. Your attention to every little detail was superb, which made the day perfect in every way.Your kindness and hospitality made all of the guests not to mention ourselves, feel very special indeed and our memories of our week on your beautiful Santorini, will last a life time. I know Bridget and Daniel were delighted with their wedding day and still re-living every moment.

Thank you also for the photo’s from your wedding files, many of our friends that couldn’t join us, have loved looking at them.

I hope you have a restful winter with time to relax, after such a busy season. We now head into our summer, but most of us, wish we were back on Santorini.

Our Sincere thanks to you all, for what we think was the “Wedding of the Year”!!

My dearest Lila, I don’t know how to begin to say thank you properly for bringing to life the vision I had for our wedding, for walking me through every step of the planning, for assuaging my anxieties (since we both know that like you, I not only have very definite ideas of what I want, but I am also a perfectionist!) and for doing all of this in such an organized and efficient manner while at the same time pouring all of your time and heart into our wedding. I feel silly calling you our “wedding planner” when I now feel like I have extended my family in Greece!

I remember the first email I sent you inquiring about your services.. I still have that email! It was a few pages long detailing everything we wanted, from the location and decor to the music to the boutonnieres! When you sent me back an email less than 24 hours later responding so confidently and eloquently to each and every single request I’d made, I knew we were a match made in heaven! Especially for our wedding, for 120 guests, both Greek and American, at the Grand Resort Lagonissi in Athens, let’s just say that I still have no idea how you juggled our intricate wedding with even one other wedding! But, as soon as I described to you what we wanted, maybe it’s your artist’s instincts that kicked in, but it’s almost as if you had the same vision in your mind as I had for our wedding and it was happily ever after from that point on. I know many brides experience a great amount of stress while planning their weddings. I was planning a wedding in Greece from Chicago, and the most stressful thing I encountered was travelling once we landed, I knew we were in good hands!!!!

I will always treasure that special time we spent together, you, Niko, and I driving around Athens to meet with every vendor and go over every detail the week before the wedding. Our wedding was in one of the most beautiful places in the world, but it would have been absolutely impossible for us to have such a beautiful wedding without your help. The funny thing is everything went so smoothly because of your hard work that I think people failed to realize just how much planning went into every detail!!!  And, we were lucky enough to visit you during our honeymoon on what I think is THE most beautiful place on earth Santorini. As first-generation Greek-Americans, Greece has always held a special place in our hearts. And after having our wedding and honeymoon there, it is even more special to us as are you thank you for everything Lila!! We love you and can’t wait to see you in a year hopefully! I apologize to your 2007 brides, but I am going to pull you away from them so we can share a frappe and reminisce!

And thank you to Katerina and Yiota and everyone else who helped with our wedding for working so hard to make sure our day was flawless and special!!

Love,

Despina & Niko

Hi there Lila, Katerina, Yiota & Rena,

Well we are back in England but our hearts are still with you in sunny Santorini. We miss you and your kind hospitality so very much and I shed a few tears when we left you all yesterday. Being back in Manchester and waking up without the fantastic view of the Caldera is so sad! We are also missing the fabulous food from the daily buffet – it wasn’t the same this morning without the greek yoghurt and honey followed by some spinach or cheese pie!!!

Anyway we wanted to thank you all so VERY VERY MUCH for making our stay at Heliotopos so fantastic. From the moment we arrived we felt like part of the Heliotopos family and Lila it was so nice to meet you at long last as I know I felt like I knew you so well after our many emails since Oct 2004!! When we saw our room and the view, it took our breath away, you really do have a beautiful hotel in such a stunning location.

Our wedding was perfect from start to finish, you really looked after us both and made us feel so special. I know I am fussy on detail but I was not disappointed in anything. The flowers, the musicians, the ceremony, the decoration in the lava cave, the fireworks, the fabulous food and the wonderful cake that everyone loved so much!! – It was all so perfect. We have so many happy memories that will remain with us forever and we are so very happy that we chose to get married at Heliotopos and in Santorini.

We would also like to thank Yiota for her help and advice and attention to detail with the lava cave. It was so beautiful when we walked in – all lit up – so romantic. Plus Katerina – you are so sweet and helpful – and your favourite colour is TURQUOISE – just like me!! You even wore turquoise when you took us to the Thira to the Town Hall!! Thanks so much for your help!!  Then of course Rena – nothing was ever too much trouble and you were always there to help us out and answer our questions. Thanks also to Yiannis and all your other staff who are very lovely people – You are ALL lovely people!!

We can’t wait to come back and see you again – perhaps on our 5th anniversary – who knows, maybe sooner!!

Anyway we will keep in touch with you Lila as we would like to know how everyone is doing and how all the other weddings go!! I LOVE weddings as you know – perhaps I can work for you!!?? That would be perfect as I have always wanted to be a wedding planner – it’s my dream job!!

Oh well, I guess I better go now. Back to work tomorrow and normal life!! You all take care and keep in touch. We’re missing you already and it’s only been a day.

All our love and hugs

Hello Lila!

I want so much to write you in Greek, but anyway, THANK YOU SO MUCH for

everything you did for my son Dean’s wedding. My husband Vangeli and I truly appreciate your expertise, your warmth, your energy, and your fine nature as well. You made it all so special for us and truly memorable. I know this is your job and your business and that you do this all the time, BUT you are unbelievable! Your hospitality and your desire to please people must be commended! Your entire staff made an impression on us. Katerina was a sweetheart, Dinos the DJ, Mr. Artemis, and even his waiters! I just needed to send you our thanks in appreciation for all you did.

We truly hope to meet up with you again in the future.

Warmest regards. I guess it’s too early to wish you “Kalo Himona”, right????

Hi Lila

We just wanted to let you know that we have now got a baby daughter who was born October last year. She is now 16 weeks old and is keeping us very busy and entertained.

Choosing her name was very easy. She is called Lila!!!

We really liked your name and as you organised a fantastic wedding for us (2 June 2002) we always agreed that if we had a girl that is what she would be called. I have attached some photos for you of her in her christening gown.

We are going to risk going on holiday with her this year in September when she will be nearly 1 years old. We have booked our flights to Athens and are hoping to catch a ferry over to Santorini so hopefully you can meet her. She is looking forward to meeting you!

Hope you are keeping well

Lots of love Wasan and Asa
