Dear Lila, Vanda, and all you other wonderful people at Heliotopos.

We are now at home in cold Norway, to sit and think back on our wonderful dream wedding on the beautiful Santorini which was 12/09/12.

It is already almost 6 months ago, but it feels like yesterday. We have been in Crete before, where we got engaged in 2008. And we’ve already had many years together before too. So to do it this particular way, bring all the family down to this great place to celebrate our wedding there, is something we absolute would recommend to everyone.

Like many couples who are now embarking on the journey of planning their wedding, we selected our wedding coordinator from a website.  What stood out about the Heliotopos site were all the pages – over ten years worth – of married couples.  And, when we saw photos showing Spetses, the island where we wanted to be married, we really became excited and contacted the company immediately.

Our relationship with Lila Konstantinidis, our coordinator, was…a match made in heaven! Because we were on the West Coast (US), we could not meet with her beforehand and see venues in person, but Lila bridged this distance for us.  She always responded promptly to our emails, showed endless grace and patience with our questions, provided excellent attention to detail, and kept track of so many moving parts at once.   The vendors she found for us were all exceptionally talented individuals.   Lila’s efforts enabled us to dance all night at our reception, focused on each other and on our guests, secure with the knowledge that all the details were taken care of.  Our wedding (details featured in blogs like “Style Me Pretty” and in the pages of Ta Nea), simply could not have been possible without Lila’s guidance, hard work and confidence.  We recommend Weddings by Heliotopos very highly to any couple marrying in Greece, and are so grateful to Lila for the care she took to ensure our wedding day was truly a magical day.

  “In 2005, we spent a month touring the mainland and the Cyclades islands, but of all the indelible memories we came away with, we knew that the isle of Folegandros was the most special.

We’d hiked along the island’s rugged terrain and up a winding path to the highest point – The beautiful Church of Panagia, perched atop a magnificent cliff overlooking the Aegean ocean. In just one day, we’d seen more than enough to lure us back for the most special day of our lives. Gazing down at the Mediterranean waters off 3 sides of the island, we made a promise to each other that we would someday return to be married at that church.

Six years later – and just a month before our wedding day – we were distraught that our dream might be impossible. Hi Lila

We just wanted to let you know that we have now got a baby daughter who was born October last year. She is now 16 weeks old and is keeping us very busy and entertained.

Choosing her name was very easy. She is called Lila!!!

We really liked your name and as you organised a fantastic wedding for us (2 June 2002) we always agreed that if we had a girl that is what she would be called. I have attached some photos for you of her in her christening gown.

We are going to risk going on holiday with her this year in September when she will be nearly 1 years old. We have booked our flights to Athens and are hoping to catch a ferry over to Santorini so hopefully you can meet her. She is looking forward to meeting you!
