Dear Lila and Romilly,
We hope you are both well. We have great news, it is now nearly 25 weeks ago since we got married at your magical hotel and I am now 25 weeks pregnant! Things here are very busy as we try to prepare for the arrival of our Honeymoon baby. The expected date of arrival is May 15th ~ My Birthday!
We have thought long and hard about how to put our thoughts and feelings into words to try and describe our wedding and stay at the Heliotopos, but cannot find words which come anywhere close to how special a place it is, and how special we were made to feel. The breathtaking location of the Heliotopos is only a part of what made our wedding so wonderful, it was attention to detail and superb service of all staff at the hotel that gave us the wedding we had dreamt of. Lila and Romilly thank you so much for making our dream come true.

Well, what can we say about our wedding other than 'Perfect'. We met on the Greek Island of Rhodes and it only seemed fitting to get married on the most gorgeous Island of Santorini in the most wonderful location of Heliotopos Hotel.
No other setting can be as romantic for getting married as the Heliotopos Hotel at sunset.
We had the most wonderful day of lounging around our hotel with our family, opening gifts and cards. And then enjoyed relaxing and slowly getting ready for the event which had been 18 months in the making. Our families and Christopher arrived at Heliotopos by coach whilst my Mum, Dad and I arrived by Heliotopos' own bridal mercedes.
I was given my bouquet, the most beautiful red roses I had ever seen and just as I had asked for. I was played down the steps on my dad's arm, by two traditional Greek musicians, to meet Christopher and those beautifil views of the Caldera. The ceremony went without hitch and was perfectly translated from Greek into English by Robert, our wedding minister.
We then tasted the traditional Greek sweet of Honey and almonds, followed by cutting our fantastic chocolate wedding cake and drinking Champagne. All the while being photgraphed and video'd which has provided us with everlasting memories of our special day capturing the most colourful sunset and the emotions of our family and ourselves.
We then went on to enjoy the most wonderful Greek cuisine, in the cave room on a beautifully set table, all recepies perfected by Lila herself - awesome fireworks lighting up over the Caldera and energetic Greek dancers who left not one of our 16 guests not dancing!!!
As our evening drew to a close we sat on the terraces of Heliotopos talking, drinking Greek wine and looking at the twinkling lights from Oia.
All of this beautifully co-ordinated by Yiota......We will alway's have treasured memories of our wedding.

Steve and I want to thank you so much for the wonderful job you both did in making our Wedding Day so special. You definitely went above and beyond what we expected. It was absolutely incredible. When we decided to have a small wedding in a beautiful setting, I did some research on the internet and came across Santorini. Neither of us knew anything about Greece. I started to do some research and all of these websites for "planning your wedding in Santorini" popped up. I became really nervous about sending money to a company I didn't know anything about - I even started to have small panic attacks. Living in Chicago, there is a large Greek-American population.
A few of my friends are Greek-American so I emailed all of my friends to hopefully find someone that knew something about weddings in Santorini. Not only did a friend know someone who was married there, but the couple went through you (Heliotopos) for their wedding! I contacted Demetra (you may notice her pictures from Sept. 2003) via email and she just gushed about Heliotopos. That did it for me! Right after reading her experience with you, I emailed you to make a deposit and set a date. From that point on, I was amazed at how nice our correspondence was. Romily soon took over the correspondence and we became instant friends. Corresponding with Romily made me feel like I was keeping in contact with a childhood friend and I hope to keep in touch with her for years to come.
I felt complete trust from both of you. It was a wonderful feeling to be thousands of miles away from a country I have never been to and not have to worry about a single wedding detail. I only had to get my dress and the necessary legal documents translated.
Once we arrived in Santorini, everything was flawless. From sitting with both you and Romily for breakfast and going over all the final details to the day of the wedding.
Writing this, I wish I was there now with everyone we met. What an amazing experience! We have such fond memories of having photos taken around Fira, the musicians we followed into Selene Restaurant, the simple ceremony, the great meal at Selene, the greek dancers, Dinos as our DJ and, most of all, everyone who joined us, including you, Romily and Stephanos. What a party! I was actually amazed how fast the Greek Dancers were able to get us all up and dancing. I love looking at our pictures of everyone laughing and dancing with the Greek Dancers. Having them there set the tone for the night - dancing until it ended. Dinos's selection of music kept everyone on their toes. The only disappointment was that the night had to end.
Santorini has definitely become our favorite destination. It is such a beautiful island. Though, what we loved most was the sincere kindness of everyone we met. Thank you so much for making our wedding one of the most memorable times in our life. I couldn't imagine it any other way. It couldn't have been done without the hard work you and Romily put into it. We wish we could do it all over again! Who knows, maybe you will hear from us when we want to renew our vows!!!

Our wedding was beautiful! We could not ask for a more spectacular place to get married than Heliotopos here in Santorini. Everyone at Heliotopos was so great to us! Many Many thanks to Lila especially for making out wedding turn out so perfect. Romilly, we could not have done this without you! You were my little guardian angel making sure everything went ok in Santorini for the wedding. We really feel the love all around us here. We will remember it forever. Thank you for sharing your paradise with us and creating special memories with us.
We hope to return here someday.

We just wanted to write you a note to let you know personally what a wonderful experience we had at Heliotopos in early September '05! Our elopement on the balcony, just the two of us, could not have been more perfect! From the personal service (you really do feel like family) to the lovely breakfasts in the cave each morning to the most beautiful view & sunset in the world - Heliotopos is a dream come true!
Both of you plus the entire staff were like friends from the moment we stepped in. Our wedding went off without a hitch and it was more beautiful and special than we had hoped for. Every detail was taken care of - we just showed up and enjoyed. You arranged all sorts of special treats for us including massages, manicure/pedicure, a sunset cruise, and even breakfast in bed.
Our room was gorgeous with a stunning view of the sea and sunset. It was super comfortable and had all the amenities we desired (including internet access!)
Lila & Romilly, we could not be more appreciative of everything you did for us and can't wait to come back in 5 years for our anniversary. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts!
